1.  5th December World Soil Day.

World Soil Day is celebrated every year on December 5 by regional offices and national and local events at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) headquarters in Rome.

The theme of the day “StopSoilPollution”.



2. India’s most heavily satellite GSAT-11 launched successfully.

India’s heaviest, largest and most powerful satellite successfully launched from GSAT-11 French Guyana by Ariane’s Space Rocket. A satellite will play an important role in providing broadband services across the country.

About GSAT-11: [toggle] In essence, there is 38 spots beam along with eight sub-beams in the satellite, which will cover the entire country including remote locations.

3. First India-Asian Intech Summit was organized in New Delhi.

The first India-Asian Innocent Summit was organized in New Delhi. It was organized by the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in cooperation with the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Asian countries included Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam are Participants at the summit.

4. Salman Khan is the richest Indian celebrities in the top of 2018 Forbes list.

According to the 2018 Forbes India celebrity 100 lists, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is the richest Indian celebrity, he is in a top position for the third year in a row.

Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has achieved second place with a net worth of Rs 228.09 crore after the rise of one place. Akshay Kumar has secured a place in the top three with a net worth of Rs 185 crore for the list for the period under consideration.

5. Admiral Sunil Lamba had launched the book ‘Blue Waters Ahoy’.

Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Sunil Lamba, recording the history of Indian Navy till 2001-10,  ‘Blue Waters Ahoy!’ Unveiled a book. This book has been written by Vice Admiral Anup Singh, who retired as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command in 2011.

7. Prime Minister inaugurated India’s longest railroad bridge ‘Bogibeel bridge’.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bogibeel Bridge on December 25 It is India’s longest railway bridge, which connects north and south shores of Brahmaputra in the eastern part of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

The bridge length is 4.94 km. Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda laid the foundation of the Bogibeel bridge in January 1997, but the work started in April 2002 when former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee inaugurated the construction.

8. Bilateral Air Practice Shinu Maitri-18 was organized in Agra.

Japanese Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) F. Shinu Maitri-18 organized a bilateral air exercise along with the Indian Air Force at the station Agra. The subject of practice is Joint Mobility / Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) on Transport Aircraft. JASDF C2 aircraft with aircraft/supervisors are part of the first air exercise between the two air forces. During this practice, heavy loading / offloading was also performed.

9. State Bank of India has selected Swapna Barman as brand ambassador for Yono.

State Bank of India has included Swapna Baraman, Asian Games gold medalist as brand ambassador for his digital app Yono. Yono is the digital platform of the bank, which makes both lifestyle and banking available through the same app, it was launched a year ago.

10. Railway Ministry signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Madame Tussaud Wax Museum.

The National Rail Museum (NRM) and the Madame Tussaud Wax Museum of the Railways Ministry have joined hands to provide a wonderful combo offer to tourists of NCR. As part of the collaboration, when the Delhi NCR tourists visit the Madame Tussaud House Museum, they will be given special discounts of 35% on ticket prices.
