Forbes Most Top 100 Powerful Women List 2018
The world’s prestigious magazine Forbes released a list of the world’s 100 most powerful women on 04 December 2018. Most Powerful Women’s List celebrates icons, innovators and exciters who are using their voice to change power structures and make a lasting impact.
In this list, German Chancellor Angela Merkel has maintained her top position for the 8th consecutive year. The list includes four women from India – Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Shobhana Bharati, and Priyanka Chopra. While releasing the list, Magia Moira Forbes, Vice President of the magazine said that the world’s most powerful women are contributing significantly to their respective areas in the opposite conditions.

1. Angela Merkel:
Angela Merkel is a German politician who has been serving as Chancellor of Germany since 2005 and is the leader of the center-right Christian Democratic Union since 2000. He has got first place in Forbes’ most powerful woman.
Born: 17 July 1954 age 64 years.
Party: Christian Democratic Union of Germany.
2. Theresa May:
Theresa Marie May is a British politician who is working as the Prime Minister of United Kingdom and leader of the Conservative Party since 2016. He was first elected to Parliament for Maidenhead in 1997.
Born: 1 October 1956 age 62 years.

3. Christine Lagarde:
Christine Lagarde is a French lawyer and politician who is currently working as managing director and president of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Born: 1 January 1956 age 62 years.
4. Mary Barra:
Mary Teresa Barra is President and CEO of General Motors Company. He has assumed the position of CEO since January 15, 2014, and is the first female CEO of a leading global automotive. She is the first female CEO of the Fortune 500 list.

5. Abigail Johnson:
Abigail Pierrepont Johnson is an American businessman. Since 2014, Johnson has been the president and chief executive officer of the US investment firm Fidelity Investments and is chairman of its international sister firm Fidelity International.

6. Melinda Gates:
Melinda Ann Gates is a US philanthropist. She is a former Microsoft employee and co-founder of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Susan Dian Wojcicki is an American Technology Executive. He has been CEO of YouTube since February 2014.

8. Ana Patricia Botin:
Ana Patricia Botin is a Spanish banker. On September 10, 2014, he was appointed the Executive Chairman of the Santander Group.

9. Marilyn Adams Hewson
Marilyn Hewson is the president and chief executive officer of Lockheed Martin.
10. Ginni Rometty:
Virginia Marie “Ginni” Rometty is an American business executive. She is the current chair, president, and CEO of IBM.
Indian Women’s in Most powerful Forbes Top 100 women list
The Forbes 2018 list includes four women from India.
1. Roshni Nadar Malhotra age 37 years:
Forbes Roshni Nadar Malhotra has been ranked 51st in Forbes Powerful women list.
According to Forbes, Roshni Nadar Malhotra had become CEO of HCL in 2009 and after one year he became the executive director of HCL.
2. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw age 65 years:
Kiran Mazumdar Shaw is placed at 60th place in Forbes list.
Kiran Mazumdar Shaw is India’s richest woman and is the founder of biopharmaceutical firm established in 1978.
3. Shobhana Bhartia age 61 years.
In the Forbes list, Shobhana Bhartia is placed at number 88.
She is the Chairperson and editorial director of HT Media, one of India’s largest media companies.
4. Priyanka Chopra age 36 years:
Priyanka Chopra has been ranked 94 by Forbes.She was described as one of India’s most successful actresses, who has also succeeded in Bollywood as well as in Hollywood.
Priyanka Chopra has started a production company, Purple Pebble Pictures, to give a platform to local filmmakers and emerging artists of India.
