1. Padmashree Sri Mushrul Hasan dies.

A famous historian and Jamia Millia pre-Chancellor professor of Islam, Musil Hasan, died at 71 years of age. Hassan was also the Director General of India’s National Archives.
Hassan won many awards in 2007 for his work including Padmashri and Ordre des Palms Academy.

2.  Air Force chief on the 5-day trip to Japan.

Chief of Air Force, Birendra Singh Dhanoa, left for a five-day goodwill visit to Japan. During his visit, Air Chief Marshal Dhanoa Japan’s Defense Minister Takeshi Iwea, Japan Air Self-Defense Force General Yoshinari Marumo, Chief of Staff, Joint Staff, Admiral Katsutosh, will meet Quano.



3. Shaktikanta Das appointed as the new RBI Governor.

Former Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikant Das was named as the 25th governor of the Reserve Bank of India to make the successor of Urjit Patel.

4. China-India Joint Practice Hand in Hand was organized in 2018 China.

The inauguration ceremony of 7th China-India Joint Practice Hand in Hand 2018 was held in Chengdu, China. A regiment of Tibetan military district of the 11-shaped company-shaped group and the People’s Liberation Army from the Indian Army participated in this exercise.

5. India and ADB signed a $ 31 million loan agreement for Tamil Nadu.

The government of India and Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a loan agreement for the construction of state tourism industry in New Delhi and $ 31 million for promoting the arrival of visitors in Tamil Nadu.

6. 2-day Regional Conference on ‘Good Governance- Focus on Aspirational Districts’ was held in Thiruvananthapuram.

December 11, 2018, a 2-day Regional Conference on ‘Good Governance – Focus on Aspirational Districts’ concluded at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
It started on December 10, 2018, and was inaugurated by the Governor of Kerala Shri Justice (Retd.) P. Sathasivam.

7. First International Conference on Sustainable Water Management held in Mohali, Punjab.

On December 10, 2018, the first 2-day International Conference, on ‘Continuous Water Management’, started at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Mohali, Punjab. It ended on December 11, 2018

8. Lepa Rada became the 24th district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Arunachal Pradesh gets its 24th district – Lepa Rada, a day after Shi Yomi became a new district.
Lepa Rada is made up of Lower Siang District, which includes four administrative circles – Turbin, Dari, Sago and Basar.

9. Center’s contribution to NPS increased to 14% of basic salary.

In order to make retirement income scheme more attractive for central government employees, the government has agreed to join the National Pension System (NPS) as a contributor to more than 14% of the basic salary of a person.

10. Israel became a member of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

On 10th December 2018, Israel became a full member of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), an international body set up to combat money laundering, terrorist financing and other threats to the international financial system.
