1. Most gender wage difference in India, 34% less pay for women: ILO
According to the Global Weze Report 2018-19 published by the International Labor Organization (ILO), women are paid the most unevenly in India in terms of hourly wages for labor compared to men.
Women are paid 34% less on average, compared to men. This difference in wages is known as gender wage difference, which is the highest in 73 countries. Overall, global (136 countries) wages have increased by 1.8% globally in 2017.
2. Indian Coast Guard organized a ‘Clean C-2018’ practice in Port Blair.
Indian Coast Guard has organized a regional level marine oil pollution reaction exercise called ‘Clean C-2018’ in the sea from Port Blair. Coast Guard Ship Vishwastha, Visith, Rajveer, Rajshree, 4 Interceptor boats, and its air assets, Dornier and Chetak helicopters participated in this exercise.
3. A number of patients given by India to 50% in 2017: United Nations.
According to the United Nations World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the number of patients given by India has increased by 50% while maintaining the trend of rapid growth in 2017.
The patent granted by India has increased from 8,248 in 2016 to 12,387 in 2018.

4. The second largest Ebola outbreak in Congo spreads.
The second largest Ebola outbreak in Tiš has spread to Boutembo, a large city in eastern Congo. Cases of fatal hemorrhagic fever have been reported by more than one lakh people.

5. United Nations started a new framework to combat terrorism.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Gutierrez has launched a new framework of the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Coordination Compact to deal with the crisis of international terrorism and to coordinate efforts in peace and security, humanitarian, human rights and sustainable development areas.
6. India is fourth in the world in terms of carbon dioxide gas emissions.
Recently, the study conducted by the Global Carbon Project revealed this. This report was released on the occasion of United Nations Climate Conference 2018. This report is expected to increase carbon dioxide emissions in 2018. The main reason for this is the increase in the use of oil and gas.

7. Chang’e-4: China Launches First Mission on the Remote Side of the Moon.
China has launched the world’s first spacecraft, Chang’E 4, which will try to land in the very remote place of the moon, it always sees only one side on the earth because it is sufficient to close by the planet’s gravitational field. The Xichang Satellite Launch Center will be released from the payload above the Long March 3B rocket.
8. Chief Minister Fadnavis launches a smart project.
Maharashtra State Government has started an ambitious project of Maharashtra Agriculture Business and Rural Transformation (SMART) in 10,000 villages for the purpose of achieving sustainable farming in the next three years. Project Smart will be assisted by the World Bank.
9. FAO Council approves India’s proposals.
Food and Agricultural Organization, FAO Council has approved India’s proposal to celebrate the International Year of Millet in 2023. Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh has said that 160th session of the FAO Council in Rome has approved the proposal.
10. Unveiling books titled “The Republican Ethic” and “Voices of Democracy” were launched.
Indian Vice-President Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has released a compilation of the selected speeches of “The Republican Ethic” and “Voice of Democracy” in Hindi at a function in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
Both books- The Republican Ethic and the Voice of Democracy are made by Shri Ram Nath Kovind, President of India in the first year and are a collection of selected speeches. This program has been organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
