Country’s first HCI Technology State Data Center open in Dehradun(Uttarakhand)
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivandrum Singh Rawat inaugurated the State Data Center with the country’s first Hyper-Converted Infrastructure (HCI) technology here on Monday. This 3-tier state data center developed by Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) of Uttarakhand Government is the first data center of the country with 100 percent software-based HCI technology. Here, in a program organized at IT Park, Sahastradhara Road, Chief Minister said, congratulating the team of ITDA for skillfully establishing State Data Centers in the state.
The Chief Minister said that the State was waiting for State Data Center for a long time and this center was based on state of the art and green technology. Explaining the need to connect this data center with solar power soon, the Chief Minister said that the state government will soon be working on the use of solar power in all government buildings.
Uttarakhand State Data Centers have been developed on the green concept for reducing the use of power and increasing efficiency of electricity. It is a shared data center for different departments through which the department can fulfill its IT requirements on the general private cloud. Modern biometric systems and 24-hour CCTV surveillance state make the data center more secure and reliable.
HCI Technology State Data Center:
- The capacity of this center can be increased from 105 TB to 12,000 TB.
- It has been developed on the Green concept to reduce power consumption and increase the efficiency of electricity.
- With the establishment of State Data Center, information of all departments of government will be available in one place and energy will be saved as well as speed in our work.
- This center will provide all types of safe, reliable, efficient and all-time digital services available to various departments of the state government.
- Uttarakhand State Data Centers have been developed on the green concept for reducing the use of power and increasing efficiency of electricity.
